Preparing your top and back:
To help insure the best possible outcome in the least time please
prepare your top and back, Here are a few guide lines that
will help both of us.
Marking:
- If the top has a "top" in relation to the back please mark
it with a safety pin, also mark the back in the same manner
- If the top is to be centered in the back please include that
information in the package.
Top Preparation:
- Check seams (especially edges)
- Remove excess and long threads (they may show through on
adjacent lighter material
- Square up as best as possible (we can't square up a top on
the machine)
- Iron, Please iron seams to one side or the other
Back Preparation:
- You have spent a lot of time and effort on the top, chose a
back that complements your efforts.
- A figured back will usually enhance the top mush more than a
plain solid color.
- Press seams (you may press these seams open if you desire)
- Back must be 8 inches wider and 8
inches longer than top, this is to allow us to mount it
to the machine
- Flat sheets generally do not make the best backs, we will
work with them if you follow these rules. Remove all
seams, this is a must, iron creases out. We charge an
additional $15.00 to prepare an unprepared flat sheet.
